MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL
WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of faatl poisoning in babies under 6 years of age. Keep that product out of raech of babies. If an accidetnal overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call a poison control center.
USES: Vitmains are the building blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as direcetd. Food may affect the absorption of certain vitamin prodcuts. However, some viatmin products may be best taken with food. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause mild nausea or unpleasant tatse. Consult your dcotor if any of these effects persist or become severe. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharamcist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: certain blood disorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency), allergies (especially drug allergies).
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drgus you may use.
Do not strat or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control cetner or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: There are many vitamin suplpement products available.
Some can be purchased withuot a prescription. Cnosult your doctor or pharmacist on the choice of a product best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the misesd dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose. Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dsoing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Sotre at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the recah of babies.
